Chocolate sauce, M&M's, gummy bears, oh my!

Located in Lakewood across the street from Albertsons on Steilacoom Boulevard next to Anytime Fitness, is a new shop called Black Bear Yogurt.

The warm and inviting atmosphere is an ideal place for college students to meet with their study group and for anyone to come and relax by the fireplace and read a book while enjoying a delicious yogurt.

Once a customer has entered the yogurt shop, they will be faced with a variety of choices, but don't fear. Black Bear has many different flavors of low fat, non-fat or gluten free frozen yogurt.

The flavors of the yogurt rotate weekly so each week six flavors are offered for the customer's selection.

Some flavors include Hershey's chocolate, Reese's peanut butter, Euro Tart, French vanilla, pomegranate and New York peppermint patty.

There are between 30 to 35 toppings to put on your yogurt. These toppings include candy, sauces, fruit and berries. All of the yogurts have no sugar added and are lactose free.

Try the New York peppermint patty yogurt with two shots of espresso and add pecans. It was the perfect mix of sweet, nutty adrenaline and a delicious, satisfying taste.

In every ounce of yogurt there is 19 calories, making the smallest size of yogurt under 100 calories. They also offer coffee for those who desire the caffeine. The coffee is roasted and packed in nitrogen so it can be as fresh as the day it was produced.

Black Bear Yogurt is the ideal place for family, friends, co-workers and children, because it's like a home away from home. Black bear is of a nice cozy cabin with all of the bear necessities of comfort.

Service, taste of yogurt, atmosphere, and cleanliness, were excellent. The only thing that could use improvement is their food selection. Adding more food to the menu like sandwiches, pastries and snacks would give customers more options. They have free wi-fi as well.
